Preference of sound of one interface to another (even within same brand). It's not just "function" to me but sound. I double checked this some time ago.it's funny we both came to different conclusions!! Ha ha So that means a consumer sound card has better converters UGGH scary.Hi keith. Which would mean even a consumer audio card running USB 2.0 like a sound blaster audigy can run 24/96. Every USB 2.0 interface I've seen or used supports 24/96 or 24/192. The original MBOX was USB 1.1 and it only supported 24 bit/ 44.8 k audio as well.Īnd I know for a fact it can't be USB 2.0 because it doesn't support above 24 bit / 44.8k audio.

Only the I-ONIX units from Lexicon were USB 2.0 and I think one of those would be much nicer than an Omega and you get the newer LE software and the Pantheon plugin. I was going to get one to tie me over till I found a firewire card that worked on my laptop. Weird because a few months ago the lexicon site said it didn't support usb 2.0. So that means a consumer sound card has better converters UGGH scary. If midi was 1.1 I don't think it would matter.weird because a few months ago the lexicon site said it didn't support usb 2.0. I've got a Lambda to play around with and it gets down to 10 ms no prob.
